Position Summary: Designs, develops, and delivers training to Substitute Teacher
(Source4Teachers) and Paraprofessional (Mission One) candidates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions for newly hired Substitute Teachers and Paraprofessionals
as well as conduct refresher training as needed.
- Coordinate training schedule with the management to meet the hiring and training
demands of the company.
- Formulate teaching outline with the assistance of the Gilford Academy Training Guide
and determine instructional methods such as group instruction, lectures, demonstrations
and workshops.
- Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, sample lesson plans,
demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
- Report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
- Assist candidates with problems concerning "how to" perform or handle specific tasks
or situations related to their new position.
- Develop strong relationships with management and personal networks to update course
materials and receive feedback as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum ten years experience as a school administrator, preferably Superintendent or
Principal as well as extensive classroom experience.
- One year previous training experience or equivalent work experience.
- Exceptional quality standards for themselves as well as teachers.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to develop and proof
training materials. Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before
groups of employees.
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Proven presentation and facilitation skills.
